{"id":401,"date":"2012-09-27T15:48:45","date_gmt":"2012-09-27T14:48:45","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.brucewiggins.co.uk\/?p=401"},"modified":"2012-09-28T15:06:16","modified_gmt":"2012-09-28T14:06:16","slug":"401","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.brucewiggins.co.uk\/?p=401","title":{"rendered":"2nd and 3rd Order WigWare"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I&#8217;ve currently got up to 4th order versions of my panners and decoders. \u00a0Attached to this post is a link to the 2nd and 3rd order Panners (encoders). \u00a0There are two versions of each order:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A 2D 2nd order version that outputs 5 channels of 2nd order Ambisonic goodness (W,X,Y,U &amp; V)<\/li>\n<li>A 3D version that outputs 9 channels (W,X,Y,Z,R,S,T,U &amp; V)<\/li>\n<li>A 2D 3rd order version that outputs 7 channels (W,X,Y,U,V,P &amp; Q)<\/li>\n<li>A 3D 3rd order version that outputs 16 channels (W,X,Y,Z,R,S,T,U,V,K,L,M,N,O,P &amp; Q)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div>These panners use the Furse Malham weightings. \u00a0More info can be found <a title=\"Furse Malham 3rd Order Weightings\" href=\"http:\/\/www.muse.demon.co.uk\/3daudio.html\" target=\"_blank\">here<\/a>.<\/div>\n<div>\n<p>If NFC (near field compensation) is set\u00a0to OFF then as the source is moved into the middle, the directional\u00a0compenents are turned down (centre sources comes out of every speaker\u00a0equally when decoded).
